Shaman totem quest bugged

Hello i returned to this realm after some time and i made a new shaman, i am currently on "call of water" quest chain for my totem and its bugged on the part of kill Tel'athion for his head i have killed him over 10 times and no head drop at all. any help would be awesome! long time Dalaran wow player. thank you.

Have you tried seeing if you can drop the quest and re accept it.

yes, that didn't work. and it just keeps doing the same thing lets me kill the target mob but doesn't drop the item.
