Hello, not sure where to post this.
I'm wanting to upgrade my PC to play WotLK specifically, and since it is an older game, and I'm on a budget, I was wondering what I could build that is enough to run max settings at max fps regardless if raiding or in pvp. I'm using an old office pc which runs vanilla zones at 40 fps max settings minus shadows, and now I am in outlands and just ventured to northrend my fps has dropped to about 20-25 fps. This is the only game I play and plan to play for the time being. So with this game being 8 years old I'm sure i could easily achieve this on a budget. My question is, cpu gpu and I'll prolly just grab 8g ram and a small ssd. If anyone has some input i would appreciate it. So I grabbed this off of google; Operating System: Windows XP (Service Pack 3), Windows Vista (Service Pack 1) Processor: Dual-core processor, such as the Intel Pentium D or AMD Athlon 64 X2 RAM: 1 GB RAM (2 GB for Vista users) Video Card: 3D graphics processor with Vertex and Pixel Shader capability with 128 MB VRAM (such as an ATI Radeon X1600 or NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT class card or better) Sound: DirectX-compatible sound card or motherboard sound capability Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4.11 or newer Processor: Minimum: PowerPC G5 1.6 GHz or Intel Core Duo processor Recommended: Intel 1.8GHz processor or betterProcessor: RAM: Minimum: 1 GB RAM Recommended: 2 GB RAM Video: Minimum: 3D graphics processor with Hardware Transform and Lighting with 64 MB VRAM (such as an ATI Radeon 9600 or NVIDIA GeForce Ti 4600 class card or better) Recommended: 3D graphics processor with Vertex and Pixel Shader capability with 128 MB VRAM (such as an ATI Radeon X1600 or NVIDIA 7600 class card or better) |

minimum CPU that could run the game on max should be any real dual core procesor(not something like Pentium D(thats virtual second core))
and im pretty sure ati radeon 9600 should have no problems running the game on max. also, you dont need 8GB ram,1 should be enough, but get 2 to be safe. |
