Free character name on Algalon problem

Hello,
as it was mentioned in the latest news, some people freed their character name on Algalon in order to be able to play with that name on new Dalaran realm. I was one of them, however, I freed the name of my 46 lvl character, not 80 lvl. What are the consequences of this? Will I be able to play my 46 char also on new realm or will it be stuck on Algalon now ? Thanks |

Hello there,
The freeing of your name has nothing to do with the possibility to play with that character, so no worries, you will be able to transfer it in the future. Since your level 46 was not in the realm when it opened (like the 80s snapshotted) the name was not reserved, therefore freeing it was unnecessary and did not take place because was already free for anyone to pick it up, the name is still free if no one took it. Hope that solves the doubts. |

Ok, so if I understand correctly, freeing the name was only for those who wished to start levelling one or more of their lvl 80 chars from Algalon from scratch on new realm? It couldnt affect lower levels since they were not in snapshot, right?
And if I may ask, is it still possible to reserve names on new realm? Because I would like to continue levelling my characters from Algalon on new realm, but everyone is able to take their name now (they are no transferred yet) |
