Was having problems with the program blue-screening regularly. Downloaded the exe using the link on the main page, https://www.dalaran-wow.com/game-client/.

Now, every time I run the program, it loads without "remembering" anything - user name, sound settings, video settings, and realm. It's like it's not looking at the Config.wtf file.

Thanks.

If there is a Config.wtf anywhere but WTF folder, delete it. Means if you find it in:
- Main Folder
- Data Folder
- Interface Folder

Delete it.

Do not delete the one in WTF folder though.

After trying what Achilles wrote make also sure that your windows account has write permission on the game 's folders. Seems your can't save the changes made to these files.

??? It's my personal desktop. I'm the only user. Just ran the program as admin and still nothing gets saved.

In the meantime, is there somewhere I can save relevant info? And, hopefully, somewhere that tells me how/what is required.

Mate, it doesn't matter if it's your personal desktop or how many accounts the machine has.

The only important thing, is that your account should have full permissions on the folder. If you are running the installation "as admin", but your account doesn't have or doesn't elevate admin rights, then you may be on read-only access when you play.

There is nothing else required. In fact, there's isn't even a installation process. You can literally just copy the files from another location, paste them on your drive, and run the game.
