Hello citizens of Dalaran,
I would like to provide you with a brief update on a few matters that I had intended to share earlier. However, due to unforeseen events in my personal life, I was unable to do so properly until now. This caused a minor delay in development, but I have been continuously working to improve areas that were stalled or required immediate attention (thanks to all who submitted feedback through tickets). Despite this, I was unable to manage communications and other aspects that demanded my attention. More detailed news will follow shortly.
First, I would like to express my gratitude for the kind words and feedback we have received about Ulduar. It is wonderful to read about your experiences and, considering the timing and potential comparison to the original, it is fantastic to see such positive reviews. Congratulations are also due for Death Demise and Celestial Defenders! We genuinely hope you enjoyed the process.
Second, I am pleased to announce that the Argent Tournament Grounds will be available on the 31st of March, followed by the release of Tier 9 content a week later, on the 7th of April at 18:30 ST: The Trial of the Crusader, including the dungeon Trial of the Champion and Koralon inside the Vault of Archavon. After that, we will reveal the release date for Onyxia's Lair, as well as the unlocking of the Scarab Lord chain quest that requires Onyxia's loot.
I would also like to address concerns that we do not understand the origin of, as we have never made such statements. In fact, we have said quite the opposite and I will reiterate it here: The future of Algalon is secure, and as long as there is a community willing to play there, we will keep it active and continue updating it with everything we deploy in Dalaran Era. We do not mind having two communities, even if one of them is significantly smaller.
However, as this requires extra effort and expense, we would prefer to focus our work, time, and resources on one, uniting both communities by allowing transfers, which was the original idea for the Dalaran realm. This would benefit both communities by providing a better and more immersive experience (especially for newcomers) and better assistance from our side. We understand the attachment to a character, which is why nothing is lost, but if we want to thrive as a community and realm, we need to stick together in one place, and that place is currently Dalaran Era. This is why we are directing all active Algalon players and newcomers there.
This brings us to the topic of transfers, which are presently disabled (we will announce when they are enabled again). However, we would like to remind you of a few points:
On a side note, the Game Masters have been training a new recruit for our ranks! We would like to officially welcome Valgathar to the team. He will begin by assisting with low-priority tickets to familiarize himself with our systems and workflows. Over time, we are confident he will become a vital member of our family. Valgathar has demonstrated a shared passion and commitment to the values we uphold in our community, as well as the skills and maturity needed for the task at hand. He has already been an integral part of our community for years, providing valuable feedback, ideas, and player-side perspectives, along with tremendous overall support. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to his contributions. Welcome, Valgathar!
I would like to reassure you that we are here for you and continually striving to do our best. Our intentions are to persistently improve what we have and work on advancing through the next stages of progression and future eras, as we have been doing for almost a decade. Our future plans encompass exciting news and a focus on the stability of the essential aspects of our community.
Thank you very much for your support, and I want to personally express my gratitude for all the kind words regarding my recovery. I am in a good place at the moment concerning my health, albeit with a backlog of work. Your well-wishes have truly brightened my day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
