Connecting... Unable to connect.

I emailed the Dalaran-WoW team almost a week ago—shy of 6 hours—asking if I could get some help with my connection problem but haven't gotten a reply yet, so I'm posting here in the meantime to see if this can be settled without mod assistance.
I had an account on this server 6-8 years ago (the one I'm posting this with), and I want to get back into it, but I'm having trouble connecting to the server. I've set the realmlist.wtf file to "set realmlist logon.dalaran-wow.com", excluding the quotation marks, of course. This evidently works as the client's realm listed at the bottom right corner of the login screen is "Algalon - Main Realm." However, when I attempt to log in with my username and password, the first popup shows "Connecting," which is standard, but then after a long wait changes to "Unable to connect. Please try again later." with a URL following this text. I thought maybe this was an account issue because of how long I haven't been on it, so I made a new account. I tried the same thing with that account's details but got the same result. That led me to believe that this isn't an account problem but rather a setup problem. I followed the guide "[Guide] Game Client Direct Download Links + How To" here in this forum to download the client. I installed the client from the torrent linked, which was a 3.3.5 client, however, there were a few notable differences from what the guide said and my process. 1. The downloaded torrent never ran a patcher 2. The Data folder contains an enGB folder, not an enUS folder. 3. The sixth step of the guide asks us to download patches from a URL, but that URL no longer exists Any ideas what went wrong? |

Nobody knows what's going on? Or did this get lost in the forums again?
