Hello Citizens of Dalaran,
As you can read through my previous post, we have additionally created some subforums for Dalaran, our new upcoming realm. Here you can start recruiting or looking for guilds to join, etc. Thank you. |

Hi Loth,
just got a few questions about the new server/realm. Will any of our bank/quest items be transferred? ie if you have a stack of primos for the shadowmourne quest. would they vanish? Will currencies (emblems, gold, honor, ap etc) be transferred? Basically asking is it the char that gets transferred sort of an "instant 80" with starter gear and no currency/emblems/ bags/quest items etc. thanks. |

Edited on 2022-07-27 16:57:03 mmmm, all that is explained on the presentation. They are not vanished, you can get later. Primos I don't think you cant get them later tho, its normal since is a new server and you would fuck economy with that.
But its far from instant 80, not only you can get all the gear later on progression, but when u start even if u only have the starting gear, u keep all items and achievements that aren't related to wotlk raids, read the non wotlk related part on the presentation, its all explained there. Its actually a really nice and balanced idea for starting a new server tbh and for us who have done shitload of achievements from all expansions and got items, reps etc. Btw Loth, thanks for all the insane trouble you and the team have gone to create a new server and let us keep our chars. Some friends that never played here are gonna start on the new realm because of that. |

Edited on 2022-07-27 18:52:29 Hello there,
Among other things, we are going to post a list of "restrictions" during the next few days, which will specify what kind of limitations will be applied to your characters on the new realm. Nonetheless, your bank and inventory are transfered, but with those limitations applied. Therefore, there are items that won't be there, and others that, like Milksq mentioned, will be retrievable later. No, currencies, consumables, gathering/crafting items or similars will not be there. While we want to provide a way to keep your characters as intact as possible, it is a new realm afterall. No worries, everything shall be detailed through the restriction list. You keep everything else, even some achievements from the WoTLK. We will only limit all those things that can interfere with the PvE and PvP progression or a new economy, as we want for it to be as fresh as possible. Again, you will be able to retrieve most of the achievements and items later, when it does not affect to the new realm. Hope it solves your doubts. |

Probably not the place to ask this but here goes:
I will be starting a character day 1 on the new realm and I would like to use a name from a character on Algalon. Will character names from Algalon be reserved when we start on Dalaran? If so will there be a way to swap names around later even if its through the shop? Sorry this is a very niche question but I really want to keep my name but on my new character. |

Edited on 2022-07-28 06:53:28 Hello there
You can do that without any problem. At the beginning, only level 80 characters will have their names reserved on the new realm, so if yours is a lower level, you won't have any problem. In order to cover the case where players wish to start a character from scratch but using a name from a level 80 within the same account, we are going to open a form before the release, so anyone interested can apply. Hope it helps. |

Hello,
I have a question. I want to start playing on this server, but I would need to lvl really fast to be able to transfer at the start of the new realm. Is it better to wait for the new realm to start and make a new character? Is the lower lvl character transfer going to come much later or soon after release? Also I read somewhere that the exp rate might be 3x with the option to go down to x1 blizzlike, is this true? |

I would also love to know to what degree riding skill will be transferred to the new realm, just to know if I should spend the 4k gold for fast flying now or if it will be wasted?
On a related but less important note, what about mounts that are not related to WotLK raid progression, i.e. Time-lost Proto-Drake? Does it count as a collectible that will transfer over? |
