Hello community,

As stated previously, we are trying to balance things out between factions and several things are taking place.

Thanks to the recent changes, those players who want to join the PvP action will be able to do so easier than before. The participation rewards are also thought of as a way to keep engaging both factions; providing an easier pace to gear up and being able to participate in competitive fights even if your faction did not win that week.

We have more ideas in order to encourage participation and help with the balance, do not worry; we will keep listening to the community and trying to aid when it is required, but we want first to encourage and keep promoting the participation into every area of the Tournament, remember you can kill the Faction Leaders, fight for Wintergrasp, join the Gurubashi Arena, etc…

Now, let's get into the additions that are going live today:

  • First, there will be an NPC in Dalaran Sewers that will offer you a participation reward from the Tournament, the bundle you will receive may randomly contain: Arena Points, Honour, Emblems (based on progression), and/or items. It can contain a bit of everything, or just one of those. Everyone can redeem their participation reward, but the Faction Tournament winner of the week will always have better ones. Only level 80 players can get them by just talking to him.

  • In order to help the faction balance, we are offering a special promotion. For 2 weeks, horde players who faction transfer to Alliance will be rewarded with 3.000 Arena points. (Keep in mind, the transfers to the Horde are closed, and there will be no way to go back). If you are planning to transfer but have the Shadowmourne or Val'anyr quest still in progress, make a screenshot before proceeding, showing your quest log, and the fragments/souls visible. Write a ticket and we will restore it right after.
