World Bosses, Wintergrasp Balance system, transfers...etc

Hello community!

We would like to present you a few additions that are coming to the Faction Tournament; we believe you will enjoy them a lot. This is just so you can take a quick peek and be aware of the new changes, a more extensive explanation will be posted on Friday 7th of May (updated)..

Changes coming this next Friday 23rd:

  • Initial advantage points: These points will start being available again, so a faction can have a bit of help if they lose several weeks in a row.

  • Wintergrasp Balance system: We implemented this system but it was disabled a long time ago because it needed some polishment. We have reworked it and it will work exactly like this: Wintergrasp Balance System. Please, read about it as it is coming live next Friday.

  • Changes coming on Friday 7th of May (updated):

  • Some World Bosses are going to be introduced to the Tournament. They will be under the PvE section but will count independently towards the overall Faction Points score. World bosses will be rotating each week and they are going to be revamped and tuned as level 80 bosses. We will explain more upon release but, we can tell you in advance that we will start with: Dragons of Nightmare.

  • PvE section will provide a different amount of points.

  • Faction City Leaders will be back to dropping the Amani War Bear, we have received a lot of suggestions to bring back this mount and remove the one that they are dropping right now - we think it's a nice idea.

  • Tournament Coin: We are going to introduce this new concept to the Faction Tournament, which basically will consist in: Certain activities, bosses...etc will have a very small chance to grant a faction X amount of points - this will only be achievable once per week and by one faction (a server-wide message will be broadcasted when found). Again, a full detailed explanation will be posted on the 7th.

  • Dalaran NPC: There will be some improvements to the weekly rewards.

  • Top 1 most active player will also receive some rewards (the same as the Top 1 HKs).

  • ______

Aside from that, we would like to announce that we have lifted the faction transfer restrictions and the prices are back to normal. Therefore, Alliance can transfer to Horde and Horde to Alliance right now. (Remember that the extra Arena Point for transfers was a limited promotion that ended 2 weeks ago).

Thank you to everyone who has helped to bring back the PvP competition. About a year ago there wasn't this much interest and thanks to the Faction Tournament and everyone's participation, we have seen a huge change!

We are preparing more exciting things, although we are going slowly with the announcements because they still need preparations and some polishments. Additionally, we are currently working on the new Zones of Action so they can be included soon (Venture Bay and Halaa), stay tuned!

Thank you very much for your suggestions and feedback, we will keep doing our best!

Update: Some features are rescheduled to the next 7th of May, more information here.
