Welcome back, Changelog:

It's been a while, but the changelog is finally back. This one contains all the fixes performed since the incorporation of our new developers. Keep in mind some of the corrections may need a few days before they are deployed to Algalon.

Quests

  • Quest sharing: Players in the same group will now be able to accept a shared quest regardless of the distance there is between the members.
  • If Valgarde Falls... - The amount of spawned Dragonflayer Invaders and Worgs has been increased.
  • Sorlof's Booty - Players will now be able to use The Big Gun to slay Sorlof and obtain the booty.
  • Let's Go Surfing Now - The quest has been scripted and now players will be able to use the Harpoon. An exploit related to his quest has also been corrected.
  • Scouting the Sinkholes - The area in which players can use the quest item to get quest credit will now be much more accurate.
  • Ned, Lord of Rhinos... - The behavior of the NPCs has been improved and the incorrect creature spawns have been removed.
  • Help Those That Cannot Help Themselves - The quest and the game objects related have been improved and players will no longer be able to get multiple credits from the same calf.
  • Heated Battle - A script has been added to ease getting kill credit from the creatures of this quest.
  • Fresh Remounts - The vehicle of this quest has been improved. Players will now be able to hand over the reins much more easily.
  • Spiritual Insight - Toalu'u will now whisper the player while flying around turned into a wisp.
  • The Plume of Alystros - The area in which players can activate Alystros with the quest item will now be much more accurate.
  • Blightbeasts be Damned! - The vehicle and creatures related to this quest have been improved.
  • Not In Our Mine - The amount of spawned Risen Wintergarde Miners has been increased.
  • Deciphering the Journal - The drop chance for Spiritsbreath has been adjusted.
  • Eyes Above - The Imperial Eagles will now behave correctly and will despawn once the quest item is used on them.
  • Escape from Silverbrook - The vehicle, waypoints and creatures related to this quest have been improved.
  • Blessing of Zim'Rhuk - The interaction distance of the statue has been increased, so now players will be able to get the quest rewarded much more easily.
  • Troll Patrol: Whatdya Want, a Medal? - The bodies required to complete the quest are now visible and lootable.
  • Troll Patrol: Done to Death - Using the quest item will now give credit when used on the corpses.
  • Troll Patrol: Can You Dig It? - The Ancient Dirt Mounds inspection has been corrected.
  • Foundation for Revenge - A script has been added to ease getting kill credit from the creatures of this quest.
  • Reconnaissance Flight - The vehicle of this quest has been improved. After the event ends, players will be able to control the plane and bring it back to the quest giver.
  • Reclamation - The vehicle of this quest has been improved. The Bosses will now have a much shorter respawn timer.
  • Army of the Damned - The spell Deathstorm will no longer deal damage to the player or the vehicle. Players will be able to complete the quest much more easily.
  • You'll Need a Gryphon - The vehicle of this quest has been improved. The reins will now drop more often.
  • The Air Stands Still - A script has been added to ease getting kill credit from the creatures of this quest.
  • Cave Medicine - The drop chance for Toxic Gland has been increased.
  • The Brothers Bronzebeard - Brann will now respawn 60 seconds after a player accepts this quest.
  • Unwelcome Guests - The amount of spawned Stormforged Invaders has been increased.
  • Cold Hearted - The vehicle of this quest has been improved. Brunnhildar Prisoners will now have a much shorter respawn timer.
  • Fervor of the Frostborn - The event has been scripted, players will no longer have to travel manually to the quest location in order to kill The Iron Watcher.
  • Digging for Prayer Beads - The quest has been scripted, players will now be able to follow Fei Fei to search the Beads.
  • The Warp Rifts - The quest item will now properly spawn some Voidwalkers. The generated rift will correctly despawn.
  • Hotter than Hell - The quest item Charred Key Mold will only require a dead Fel Reaver to be used.
  • Fhwoor Smash! - Players can now properly start the escort event to protect Fhwoor and return the Ark of Ssslith to Sporeggar.
  • Lost in Action - Talking with Naturalist Bite will now open the cage and summon 3 enemy nagas. Once they are defeated, talking with the Naturalist again will give the quest credit and a buff.
  • Skywing - Players can now properly start the escort event to protect Skywing and complete the quest.
  • Someone Else's Hard Work Pays Off - Using the control panel will now summon Sha'heen and if you meet the requirements you will be able to pick up the quest. The escort event has been scripted and killing Xiraxis will give quest credit.
  • Bring Me The Egg! - The Windroc Matriarch will now behave correctly and will always be aggressive to players.
  • Guardian of the Monument - The drop chance for Apexis Guardian's Head has been adjusted.
  • Stasis Chambers of Bash'ir - Thuk will now properly spawn once you open the chamber. When the NPC is dead, the chamber will correctly respawn.
  • Test Flight: Raven's Wood - This deprecated quest will no longer be available to players in-game.
  • The Stones of Vekh'nir - Once the crystal is charged, the quest will always be completed and players will not have to retake it to claim their reward.
  • Bladespire Kegger - The quest item will now properly trigger the NPCs and correctly give quest credit.
  • Cho'war the Pillager - The quest will now properly give credit to all members in a group.
  • Protecting Our Own - The Living Grove Defenders will no longer give double credit when the Seedlings are used.
  • Dimensius the All-Devouring - Captain Saaed and the guards, as well as the whole event, have been scripted.
  • On Nethery Wings - The Void Conduit will now give quest credit on spell hit.
  • Electro-Shock Goodness! - Void Waste and Seeping Sludge will now have a chance to split in globules once you hit them with the Electro-Shock Therapy spell effect.
  • You, Robot - Negatron will now come to the quest area. Players will be able to kill it by charming The Scrap Reaver X6000.
  • Fel Reavers, No Thanks! - Completing Nether Gas In a Fel Fire Engine will now give credit towards this quest.
  • Nether Gas In a Fel Fire Engine - The drop chance for Condensed Nether Gas has been increased.
  • Building a Perimeter - Using the Rune Activation Device will now give quest credit for each of the runes.
  • Captain Tyralius - The prison required to complete this quest will now close automatically on a given time, so that it can be opened once again.
  • Troublesome Distractions - The quest has been scripted and players will now be able to slay Wind Trader Marid.
  • Dr. Boom! - The related NPC will no longer be able to move and chase the players.
  • Becoming a Spellfire Tailor - The quest has been corrected and only one Nether-wraith will spawn once the quest item Is used.
  • Becoming a Shadoweave Tailor - The usage of the Crystal of Deep Shadows to get credit for quest completion has been improved.
  • What Illidan Wants, Illidan Gets... - While disguised, players will no longer be attacked by the guards next to Grand Commander Ruusk.
  • The Soul Cannon of Reth'hedron - Selecting the gossip option from Sar'this will now summon an Arcane Elemental that drops a Flawless Arcane Essence.
  • Subdue the Subduer - Reth'hedron the Subduer will now cast spells and yell its quotes while in combat. The NPC will give quest credit on death.
  • Thwart the Dark Conclave - Players will now be able to end the Dark Conclave's summoning ritual and complete the quest.
  • Urok Doomhowl - The quest has been scripted, players will now be able to start the event and complete the quest.
  • Free Knot! - Once this quest is rewarded, a lootable chest will spawn and Knot will despawn.
  • The Scepter of Celebras - The quest has been scripted, players will now be able to follow Celebras and create the Scepter.
  • One Shot. One Kill. - Players can now properly start the event to protect Sentinel Aynasha and complete the quest.
  • Therylune's Escape - Players can now properly start the escort event to protect Therylune and complete the quest.
  • Trek to Ashenvale - Sentinel Selarin will spawn for a short while once you finish Terenthis quest chain, so this quest will now be obtainable.
  • King of the Foulweald - The quest has been scripted. The waves of NPCs will try to destroy the banner, and killing the boss at the end will make the totem lootable.
  • The Swarm Grows - The amount of spawned Silithid Invaders has been increased.
  • Kroshius' Infernal Core - Warlocks will now be able to spawn Kroshius by using the Fel Fire on its remains.
  • Rescue From Jaedenar - Players can now properly start the escort event to protect Arko'narin and complete the quest.
  • Razormaw - Once the Dragon Bones are placed on the Pyre, Razormaw will properly spawn.
  • Lazy Peons - The NPCs will now go back to sleep much faster. Players will not have to wait if someone has done the quest recently.
  • Suntara Stones - Players can now properly start the escort event to protect Dorius and complete the quest.
  • Protect Kanati Greycloud - The quest giver will now be attacked by the spawned NPCs and the quest credit will only be given once they are all eliminated.
  • The Videre Elixir - Players will now be able to place the Bait next to Miblon Snarltooth. After that, the wall will disappear and players will be able to loot the Evoroot.
  • Stinglasher - The NPC behavior has been improved and will no longer drop below the ground.
  • The Bait for Lar'korwi - Placing the items in the correct order will now be mandatory. Lar'korwi will always spawn.
  • The Northern, Eastern and Western Pylons - Once examined, the pylons will now give credit to all members of the group who have the quest on their log.
  • Beer Basted Boar Ribs - Players will no longer require Cooking to pick up this quest.
  • Hunting for Ectoplasm - The conditions from this quest have been improved, now the quest items will only drop if the player is affected by the Ectoplasmic Distiller spell effect.
  • A Sample of Slime... ... and a Batch of Ooze - Players will now be able to complete both of the quests at the same time. Both of the equipments will always work.
  • Traitor to the Bloodsail - This quest will now be obtainable as long as you meet the requirements. The NPC Bloodsail Traitor has been spawned.

Spells-Auras/Classes

    Druid

  • Omen of Clarity - The talent will now work as intended and will not get visually stuck.
  • Lifebloom - The spell will now heal for the correct amount, even if the target has a 50% healing reduction effect. The spell will also behave correctly when it's dispelled or stolen by a mage.
  • Enrage - The spell will now reduce the caster's armor when it's used.
  • Savage Roar - The spell will no longer cause combat or break stealth.
  • Feral Charge - Cat - The spell will no longer cause combat to the caster or the target.
  • Cyclone - The spell will now behave correctly and will not be applied through Anti-Magic Shell, Spiritual Immunity, and similar spell effects.
  • Nature's Grasp - The internal cooldown will now be 2 seconds between every used charge of the spell.
  • Owlkin Frenzy The spell effect will now persist when leaving Moonkin Form.
  • The item Wolfshead Helm will now grant the correct amount of energy or rage when shapeshifting.
  • Paladin

  • Hand of Sacrifice - The spell can no longer be cast on targets affected by Divine Sacrifice.
  • Sheath of Light - The talent will now properly stack the remaining healing if the aura is refreshed before the effect expires.
  • Hammer of Justice - The spell will now interrupt non-player spell casting for 3 sec.
  • Judgement of Light - The effect will now proc from spells. The PPM has also been corrected.
  • Judgement of Wisdom - The effect will now proc from spells. The PPM has also been corrected.
  • Hand of Reckoning - The spell will now deal damage when used right after Exorcism.
  • Sanctified Retribution - The talent will now properly add 3% damage to all the friendly targets affected by any of your auras.
  • Swift Retribution - The talent will now properly add 1/2/3% haste to all the friendly targets affected by any of your auras.
  • Shield of Righteousness - The spell will now be able to trigger on-hit-effects, such as Judgements or Seal of Command.
  • Hand of Protection - The spell can no longer be cast if the Paladin is under a sap, blind or stun effect.
  • Hand of Freedom - The spell can now be cast even if the Paladin is under a sap effect.
  • Rogue

  • Slice and Dice - The spell will no longer cause combat to the caster or the target.
  • Overkill and Master of Subtlety - Both of the auras will now work correctly and they will not glitch out when changing between different specs.
  • Death Knight

  • Dancing Rune Weapon - The spell has been fully reworked, we still need to perform further testing on the PTR, so the fix isn't active on Algalon yet.
  • Warrior

  • Charge - The spell will no longer place the Warrior inside the target. The formula will now calculate target's hitbox, as well as distance needed to get into melee reach. The fix will also apply to any spell which has a charge effect.

Miscellaneous

  • Implemented a new loot system for all the quests: The more you kill a creature without getting a quest item, the higher are the chances that it will drop in your next kill. The chances will increase linearly until they reach 100% and then they will reset. The system excludes quests with items that have 100% drop chance by default.
  • Many creatures across the world will no longer drop below the ground. The pathfinding system has been vastly improved.
  • Many roleplay events and cosmetic details across the world have been implemented.
  • A lot of quest givers will now trigger dialogues once you pick up or turn in their quests.
  • Some NPCs with incorrect behavior or incorrect faction will now work as intended.
  • Some incorrect NPC/GameObject locations will now be more accurate.
  • Fall Damage will no longer be miscalculated and kill players in certain situations.
  • Gathering, Mining and Skinning attempts will no longer have a chance to fail.
  • Archavon's Log in Wintergrasp has been scripted and it will now keep track of all victories from both of the factions.

  • Several core fixes regarding crashes.
  • Several preparations and scripting changes for the Icecrown Citadel raid release.
